On November 29th gathering we are partnering with Beacon Hill, a local ministry that helps provide resources and support for people looking to foster, adopt, or help hurting families in our city in other ways. Please check out these opportunities to get involved:
Strengthen Families
Beacon Hill exists to serve Alaska’s children in foster care and children at risk of going into foster care through the love of Christ. Our purpose is to support, serve and encourage vulnerable children within our community. Our dream is to see all children in our community loved and well cared for in healthy homes.
Prevent Crisis
Safe Families provide a secure, temporary, loving environment for children so parents have the time and ability to face their situation without putting their children through unnecessary trauma or exposing them to dangerous situations, such as homelessness or neglect.
Adopt Children
The Heart Gallery of Alaska utilizes the power of media to capture the individuality of children living in foster care in order to advocate for their adoption, raise public awareness about their needs, and obtain support to help meet those needs. This gallery also highlights children who are ready for adoption.
